Privacy Policy

Account details (email, name); boards and entries you create; bids and any supporter name, handle, or message you choose to attach; logos you upload; usage and analytics data; and your IP address (for security and rate limiting).

To run the service, process payments, send you transactional email (welcome, board live, new bids), prevent, detect, and investigate abuse, fraud, chargebacks, and disputes, enforce our Terms, and understand and improve usage.

Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card number. We and our payment provider process transaction details, and limited device and IP information, to authorize payments and to prevent, detect, investigate, and resolve fraud, chargebacks, and payment disputes. When a dispute or chargeback occurs, we may share the relevant transaction record with the payment provider and card networks to resolve it.

We share data only as needed with the providers that run topboards: a hosting provider, an authentication and database provider, a payment processor, an email provider, and an analytics provider. Each processes data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data.

Boards are public. Entries, their current totals, and backer names or handles (unless you contribute anonymously) are visible to anyone. Don't submit anything you want kept private.

We use essential cookies for authentication and sessions, and analytics cookies to measure usage. You can control cookies in your browser.

We keep your data while your account is active. We retain transaction, payment, and tax records, and records needed to resolve disputes or chargebacks and to comply with legal, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations, for as long as required even after an account closes. You can request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing us, subject to those retention requirements. topboards is not intended for anyone under 18.
